Access to Google Drive is granted to your personal email address. Sign in using your own email address, not with a shared MG account.
Using a non-Gmail account to access Google Drive
If your email address isn't a Gmail account, Google needs to set it up in a one-time process and walks you through a couple of steps.
If you don't want to do that with your personal email, consider creating a separate Gmail account that you use just for this purpose. Editing and collaborating in Google Drive is a much nicer experience with Gmail accounts. For more information, see Create a Google Account.

How to tell which account is active
If you log in to multiple accounts (such as the shared MG accounts) and stay logged in, make sure your own personal account is the one that is active (top of the list) when you are working on the shared files below.
To see which account is active:
1. Click on a link to a shared file or folder below.
2. When the link opens, click the profile icon in the upper right of the window. If your account is not at the top of the list (the active one), select your profile from the list.
