Has lacy blue-green foliage and delicate heart-shaped pink flowers that appear in summer. It grows 10 to 20 inches tall in full to partial shade. Western bleeding heart can be an accent plant or groundcover that complements other shade-tolerant plants like ferns, hellebores, and primroses; and hummingbirds enjoy its flowers. It likes moist soil but not standing water. After being attended with careful water the first two years, it can adapt to our drier summers.

$20 for a bundle of 5 rhizomes
