New this year! Its white skin and black spines were the inspiration for the name "Salt and Pepper.” Excellent flavor and crisp texture for both pickling and snacking. Harvest when skin just starts to turn yellow. Locally adapted to our climate, seeds are from Whidbey Island’s Deep Harvest Farm. Developed at Cornell for powdery mildew resistance and success in organic gardens, Salt and Pepper won the 2011 Green Thumb Award.
