We’ve learned a few things from past Zoom Webinar sessions that we’d like to pass on to you.
Set up Zoom
Please log on early, well before the webinar begins, so you have time to get Zoom ready. We have limited ability to help during the webinar.
Troubleshooting
If you still have problems with Zoom, try the following:
Set up Zoom
- Create a free account. This short video from WSU will show you how. An account is required to help prevent fraudulent activity and to ensure your privacy.
- Download the Zoom Client for Meetings application here for your computer, or in the app store for your phone or tablet.
Note: Although you can use your computer’s web browser (Chrome, Safari, or Edge) for Zoom presentations on any device, we’ve had more success using the application, and encourage you to do so, too.

- Before you click the link to join the webinar, open the Zoom application.
- If you see a sign-in prompt, sign in with your Zoom password and the same email address that you used to register for the workshop.
If you see a Zoom window with options across the top, select the green profile button in the upper right-hand corner and confirm that the email is correct. - Open the confirmation email for the workshop session you want to join, then click the Join Webinar button.
If you can’t find the invitation to join the webinar, check your spam/junk folders. Be sure you are signed into the right email account. Search on "San Juan County WSU Master Gardeners" or "no-reply@zoom.us".
